Tragethon Receives FWSA Environmental Award
Dave Tragethon will be honored with the Far West Ski Association (FWSA) Environmental Award at the upcoming annual convention in Reno, Nevada.

“By addressing environmental issues like orphan oil wells, we can protect our mountain environments, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the beauty and excitement of snowsports.”
"I am deeply honored to receive this environmental award from the Far West Ski Association. 'Willow's Second Chance' is a story close to my heart, and I hope it inspires young readers to understand and take action against global warming,” Tragethon stated. “By addressing environmental issues like orphan oil wells, we can protect our mountain environments, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the beauty and excitement of snowsports."
This FWSA recognition encourages development of awareness and programs that educate club and council members about sustaining snowsports through conservation and protection of our environment. The award recognizes a special action, or something put in place that made an impact in the community.

Throughout his career, Dave has worked closely on numerous sustainable projects, including his time as VP of Marketing for Mt. Hood Meadows ski area. Meadows’ efforts in environmental excellence have been recognized with prestigious awards, such as the National Ski Areas Association Golden Eagle Award and the FWSA Tommi Tyndall Award.
The Well Done Foundation's collaboration with Dave on "Willow's Second Chance" highlights the importance of addressing climate change and promoting environmental education. The foundation is dedicated to identifying, adopting, and capping orphan oil and gas wells, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting our natural resources.
